Our History

In 2010 Laura Francke recognised the need  for a Clinical Psychology Service in Port Stephens. At that time there were no private Clinical Psychologists in the region and most residents would travel to Newcastle to access the services they required. So on the 1st July 2010, Port Stephens Clinical Psychology Services opened with a very pregnant Laura practicing a few days a week.

2019 brought exciting changes to the practice with the opening of Central Coast Clinical Psychology Services. Laura, began offering services at Hamlyn Terrace Community Centre. Since that time the two practices now form Clinical Psychology Services Australia and the Central Coast practice will be moving to a new and permanent residence at Wyee to service the growing community there.

Over the next years PSCPS grew into a busy practice where we have had up to three  psychologists working alongside Laura to meet the needs of the community. We have worked in providing therapy and assessment services for children and adults. We have also provided community consultation and Laura also acts as a Family Consultant to the Family Court preparing family assessment reports. Laura has also acted as supervisor to other psychologists and psychology interns. She has also worked as a Victims of Crime psychologist and more recently for clients utilising NDIS.
